Gazipaşa Airport, offering short transfer times to holiday resorts located at east coasts of Antalya, is aiming to become a tourism base for the region.

In August 2007, TAV Airports was awarded with the tender for operating the Antalya Gazipasa Airport for 25 years. Located in the Gazipasa municipality of the tourism capital Antalya, Gazipaşa Airport aims to serve the area's high tourism potential. Antalya Gazipaşa airport is projected to become a new tourism base for the Eastern Mediterranean. The airport offers significantly shorter transfer times to nearby holiday resorts east of Antalya compared to the primary airport located on the western side. Alanya region, which hosts over 2 million annual visitors , is only 30 minutes away from the Gazipaşa Airport.

Antalya Gazipaşa Airport is a significant step in TAV objective of continuous growth and development due to being the first domestic total airport operation of the company, including the air side operations in the project scope. The airport has 2.144 square meters of terminal building area and a capacity of 500.000 annual passengers. TAV Airports has extended the airport runway to 2.000 meters to enable a wider range of aircraft operations. Antalya Gazipaşa Airport handled its first commercial flight in July 2009 upon substantial completion of its renewal and extension project.
